Live Voice Transcription
Chatlo integrates state-of-the-art Voice AI (powered by Deepgram) directly into the note-taking experience. You can record live lectures, meetings, or personal dictation and have it perfectly transcribed into your editor in real-time.
How to Record a Note
- Click the New Note button on your dashboard.
- At the top of the editor, click the Voice tab next to the Text tab.
- Click the large blue Start Recording microphone button.
- Your browser will prompt you for Microphone permissions. Click Allow.
- Start speaking! You will see a glowing audiowave animation as it records.
Automatic Formatting Features
Unlike basic transcription apps that spit out a giant block of unreadable text, Chatlo's AI intelligently understands the context of your speech. It will automatically add punctuation, break up long thoughts into readable paragraphs, and strip out "umms" and stutters.
Reviewing Your Transcription
Once you click Stop Recording, the transcription engine will finalize the text. Because it streams directly to our AI models, the final text usually appears within 1-2 seconds after you finish speaking.
After the text is generated, you are automatically dumped back into the regular Text Editor. This allows you to immediately fix any minor errors, bold important words, or add headers before saving your Note.
